Job Purpose:
Reliance Foundation is partnering with Strategic partners and is launching a project to empower aspiring women entrepreneurs, both individual as well as part of SHGs/SHG Federations, by creating a conducive environment for them to participate in local economic development proactively. The RF – business partner’s collaboration will contribute to recently announced goal by MoRD, GoI to enable rural SHG women to earn at least Rs.1 lakh annual income. The project will drive women-led enterprise development in identified districts, supported by State Rural Livelihood Missions and field implementation agencies in three states over three years
The State Execution Unit (SEU) will be responsible for the on-ground implementation in the respective states, ensuring that the project strategies are implemented on ground by the field implementation partners as per the devised protocols and problem-solve if necessary.
Roles & Responsibility:
- Customise project SOPs to the state specific situation
- Develop state specific thematic strategies in Farm Livelihoods, e.g. identifying relevant value chains, in collaboration with SRLMs
- Capacity building of SRLMs in Farm Livelihoods
- Capacity building in Farm Livelihoods of the Field Implementation Agencies and SRLMs
- Establish strategic linkages for key technical, financial and marketing support
- Develop relationships with relevant government officials, and maintain relations to access financial and technical resources
- Identifying and documenting the best practices for scale
- Knowledge management and advocacy in Farm Livelihoods
Experience & Educational Requirements:
| Experience & Educational Requirements EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Include Additional Certification Required if any | Necessary · Should have an experience minimum of 10 years in agriculture, development sector with special focus on promoting farm livelihoods at large scale· Should have a Post-Graduation degree in agriculture/Agronomy/ Pathology/ entomology/ Soil science etc.
· Should be specialized in producing and improving crop quality |
| OTHER REQUIREMENTS: | · Ability to train and nurture people at large scale· Experience of working in large scale livelihood promotion and rural development programs at leadership position· Experience of working with government agencies, leveraging resources
· Good communication skills and knowledge of regional languages would be an added advantage · Should be a good team player with good interpersonal skills · Requires experimentation, critical thinking and should have a scientific bent of mind |
