About the role:
Senior Manager Partnerships (Livelihood vertical) would lead the partnerships/fund raising/Business Development activities for Livelihood vertical of the foundation under the guidance of Lead Livelihood vertical. The livelihood vertical primarily implements CSR projects on capacity building of farmers, producer group, local business, entrepreneurship.
S/he should have a good network in the CSR ecosystem with connections with CSR heads, philanthropic organizations. Should have prior experience of raising CSR fund and building strategic partnerships. The person would be responsible for closure of end to end fund raising/Business Development activities i.e. lead generation, to preparation of proposal, budget (in consultation with the program team), proposal presentation and closure of the grant agreement.
Ideal Candidate Profile (Essential Attributes)
- Minimum 5 years in social sector & related field with a minimum of 2 years in consulting/fund raising/business development
- Should have MBA/Post Graduate/Graduate from reputed institute/top institute
- Experience or ability towards Lead generation to closure.
- Excellent communication (speaking and writing) skills in English. Reading & speaking ability in Hindi
- Experience of preparing/writing winning proposals for CSRs agencies.
- Target oriented with proven track record of achieving business/fund raising targets
- Networking, partnership and collaboration skills with proven ability of having strategic partnership/s.
- Should be proficient in using Microsoft Office especially excel, power-point
- Good connects in the social sector esp. with the CSR, philanthropic organizations, institutional donors, aggregators etc.

- Leadership skills with ability to establish short & long term goals for the vertical
- Have led a team of professional. Team building skills with proven ability of nurturing & mentoring teams in the past.
- Dealing with complexity and ability to lay down clear road maps on the current operation and growth of the vertical
- Ability to build in best practices and innovative approach in work stream
- Functional/technical knowledge – Livelihood, Project Designing (participatory planning process, LFA, RBM, Theory of Change)
- Understanding of funding pattern and trend in the industry
Key Responsibility Areas:
Fund Raising/Business Development (90% of the time)
- Write project proposals/presentation esp. along the area of Livelihood. This will be the core work
- Assist in developing sector specific solution
- Build and manage relationships with social sector clients – CSR, philanthropic organization, international agencies. Ensure upselling and cross selling
- End to end BD/Fund Raising cycle – lead generation to closure
- Networking, partnership and collaboration
- Work in coordination with other business verticals and key functions – Finance, HR, Admin, IT etc.
Thought leadership (10%)
- Work with the vertical leads, consultant and head of the foundation towards creation of thought notes/articles
Travel Time: 30 to 40% of the work time and across the country
Any other work assigned by the reporting manager or head of the foundation.
