About KEF:
Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) was founded by Uday Kotak. He is the Founder Trustee of KEF, Managing Director & CEO, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. Kotak Education Foundation’s (KEF) mission is to support children and youth from underprivileged families through different education based interventions to rise above the poverty line and lead a life of dignity through sustainable processes. KEF works with some of India’s most economically underprivileged communities, attempting to alleviate poverty through education and livelihood programs.
KEF works with multiple regional language government-aided private institutions. These schools have been set up by social entrepreneurs and lack quality teaching, infrastructure and leadership. Through its various programs across education, innovative healthcare and livelihood training programs, the foundation supplements the efforts of these schools to improve their conditions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Overall Role:
The Project Assistant Manager oversees the implementation, and tracking of Scholarship Programs in Excel which has a beginning, an end and specified deliverable.
Key Responsible Areas:
The Project Assistant Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the Scholarship Program Activity and perform a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
Project Planning:
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
- Review the project schedule with Manager and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
Relationship Management:
- Ability to effectively communicate to all stakeholders [KEF volunteers, parents, students, academic, support centers etc.
- Healthy peer and subordinate relationship and to effectively implement the instructions of the manager
- Very effective internal coordination and communication and ability to work as a member of teams
Project Implementation:
- Execute the project according to the project plan.
- Oversee development of forms and records to document project activities
- Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
- Review the quality of the work completed with the team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
- Collaborate and coordinate with external stakeholders for ensuring successful implementation of the project
Project reporting & control:
- Write reports on the project for PH and management Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation.
Project Evaluation:
- Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

Working Conditions | The job can involve working conditions that include 8 hour shifts between 8 am to 7 pm. There are two week offs in a month apart from casual and privilege leaves. This job will also involve working in challenging community areas with infrastructural and other disadvantages. |
