Background:

The Timbaktu Collective (Collective) is a grassroots non-profit organization initiated in 1990, that works towards the sustainable development of marginalized peoples across 347 villages in 14 mandals of the drought prone Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai districts of Andhra Pradesh. The Collective develops and implements diverse thematic programmes and initiatives with a central focus on community participation and ownership.

The Sruthi working group within the Collective is responsible for the daily management and coordination of all organizational programs. This team plays a key role in overseeing administration, finance, legal compliance, media and communication, human resources, hospitality, networking, and governance functions.

Key Deliverables and Outputs as Administrator:

  1. Ensuring timely compliance with statutory and legal requirements of the
  2. Overseeing effective financial management of the
  3. Anchoring logistics including travel & transport, hospitality and ensuring facilities are extended to the organisation’s personnel, donors, visitors
  4. Anchoring human resource management including ensuring adequate personnel are appointed and
  5. Ensuring that the office and its premises are well maintained, and the assets of the Collective are assessed and
  6. Facilitating programs for visitors, interns, and
  7. Anchoring correspondence, documentation, and filing, and ensuring safe custody of important
  8. Maintaining an oversight of the Timbaktu residential

Eligibility criteria:

  • Bachelors/ Master’s degree in any relevant field;
  • Minimum 3 years of prior experience in operations/admin, HR or related fields;
  • Proficiency in Telugu is required;
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office suite;
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English;

Remuneration:

The first three months of your employment will be considered a ‘probation period’. During the probationary period, candidates can expect to receive a monthly remuneration of INR 40,000. Following the completion of the probationary period, we offer a starting salary of 5.4 LPA to 7.2 LPA, with the potential for revision based on your work experience, skills, and demonstrated talent.
