Established in 1980, Alpha Group is a privately held/family owned packaging company. Started as manufacturer of flexible packaging such as PP/PE Bags & Liners, the group diversified to rigid packaging in 1996 and started producing PET bottles. Today, Alpha processes over 7,200 MT polymer every year for pharmaceutical, FMCG and cosmetic industries.
Most recently, Alpha has started manufacturing Agriculture Mulch Film, under the brand name GROWiT, and is now one of top 5 manufacturers in India.
Experience & Industry Exposure
- Degree in Plastics or Mechanical engineering
- >12 years of experience in manufacturing industry out of which some years of experience in “Blown Extrusion film” is mandatory
- Excellent administration skills along with oral and written communication skills
- Excellent work force management skills
- Updated knowledge for manufacturing trends and techniques for blown extrusion film
- Budget-management skills and proficiency
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
Reports to Plant Manager
- Production Planning of entire shop floor along with manpower planning, shift scheduling, mixing recipes to ensure quality as per customer requirement
- Assist in developing new products and conduct trials to check for quality and customer acceptability
- Prepare system documents for production department as per FSSC/BRC/ISO
- Maintain production logbooks and proper product labelling at each production stage
- Prepare production MIS reports such as machine downtime report, quality issues, manpower issues, etc.
- Minimize production wastage at all stages as per set targets
- Ensure production data in ERP is correct by comparing multiple reports
- Active participation for training subordinates and ensure skill development
- Train operators and helpers across different machines to reduce manpower cost and increase efficiency
- Implement standard shop floor practices such as 5S
- Reduce machine down-time and increase machine efficiency
- Develop positive work culture by developing best practices
