Context:
Jal Seva Charitable Foundation (JSCF) is registered in India as a not for profit company under Chapter 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. JSCF, is an associate member of WaterAid International and uses the brand name ‘WaterAid’ in India.

WaterAid India’s (WAI) country office is based in New Delhi with State Offices in Bhopal, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Patna and Lucknow. We currently work in 11+ states across the country.
WAI’s Programme focus in the next five years is on ensuring that communities – especially low-income families – are WASH secure i.e. with assured access to safe drinking water at the household level; with safely managed sanitation’ institutions such as anganwadi’s, schools and health care facilities with adequate and appropriate WASH infrastructure and with good hygiene behaviours. We seek to do this through demonstration and the provision of technical and knowledge support to governments at all levels who can facilitate this adoption on scale.
Roles & Responsibility:
• Coordinate and implement block level plan, targets and timelines in consultation with team members
• Undertake intensive and regular field visits to intervention areas to support and guide field team in community mobilisation activitiés , organise training and meetings and supervise implémentation of infrastructure work
• Advocate project level replicable models for integration in GP and block level plans on WASH.
• Conduct periodic review meetings with the team to ensure delivery is as per schedule
• Review MIS data on monthly basis and presentation of project data in MIS and support team in preparing reports.
• Support District Coordinator in booking expenses incurred and tracking variance
a) Stakeholder engagement:
• Ensure rapport and collaboration with block and GP level officials and elected representatives and other stakeholders for leverage under different Water, Sanitation and Hygiene related schemes.
• Suppoort DC in organizing district level consultations /workshops / conférences as required in the project
• Represent the project and achievements at block/ district level networks and govt. meetings.
b) Reporting:
• Ensure timely submission of different reports such as Weekly MIS reports and Monthly MIS report by field team
• Preparation of monthly updates and brief reports as required
• Support District Coordinator for preparation of monthly reports and any other reporting requirement.
c) Others:
• Understand the project plan and Budget
• Support District Coordinator in planning, budgeting and reforecast exercise for the project
• Identify potential case studies from the project location and ensure documentation of case study
• Perform any other duties for furthering WAI’s programme implementation as may be assigned by District Coordinator
Eligibilities and Qualifications:
• Post-graduate/graduate degree (or equivalent) in sociology, social work public health or Rural development science, social sciences or similar fields
• Work experience between 2-3 years in a similar organizational/ functional context and experience working on WASH is an added advantage
• Experience in working closely with community and community groups
• Understanding of GP, block and district level dynamics and able to manage relationships;
• Experience in working with block and gram panchayat level govt. departments and teams
• Fluent in Kannada/Telugu and local dialect
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Proactive and self-motivated individual capable of engaging persuasively with various stakeholders at the community level
• A self-starter, able to work independently
